Build Ready Project Management is an optional ConstructionX service for Build Ready package projects. We coordinate the project remotely on your behalf, keeping the design information, the package order, the deliveries, your selections and the schedule organized, while your local builder runs the site. It is separate from the package itself, defined for each project, and available on qualified projects and locations. It is built for owners who want one organized line of communication with ConstructionX through the whole build.
Your package covers the design and the materials your builder needs. Some owners want more than that: someone keeping track of the whole project for them, so information, deliveries and decisions are lined up before they are needed. This guide explains what the service covers and where its limits are.
What We Coordinate
Build Ready Project Management covers the information side of your project:
Design information. Making sure your builder and local professionals have the drawings and documentation they need, and that their questions reach the right person.
Procurement. Keeping the package order and any related selections on track with your signed specification.
Deliveries. Planning delivery timing with your builder, so materials arrive when the site is ready for them.
Selections. Helping you make finish and fixture decisions on time, so they do not hold up the work.
Budget and schedule visibility. Keeping a clear view of what has been decided, what is waiting and what comes next, so issues surface early.
The aim is simple: everyone works from the same information, so nothing waits on a decision nobody knew was due.
We do all of this remotely. You and your builder have one point of coordination with ConstructionX throughout the project.
What Stays With Your Builder
Your local builder still runs the site. They manage the crew, the trades, safety, quality on site and the day to day work. Build Ready Project Management does not replace your builder. It supports you and your builder by keeping the information side of the project organized.
Your builder also deals with inspectors, manages subcontractors and makes the calls on site that depend on what is in front of them. Remote coordination works best when it respects that line: we organize the information and keep everyone looking at the same plan, and the builder makes the site decisions. That includes meeting your local building code on site, which varies from province to province and state to state, so it is always checked locally.
What It Does Not Include
To be clear about the limits:
- It does not include site supervision.
- It does not include construction labour, equipment or trades.
- It does not include permits, inspections or local professional fees.
- It does not change what is in your package. Your signed specification still controls that.
Those stay with your builder, your local professionals and your specification. If you need someone on site every day, that is your builder's role. If you would rather hand ConstructionX the management of your whole home project, ask about Residential Project Management instead, which is a different service from the one described here.
Who It Helps
Build Ready Project Management tends to suit:
- owners who live far from the build site
- owners building for the first time who want a clear path through the decisions
- owners and builders who want a single coordinator at ConstructionX for the whole project
- projects with a tight schedule, a remote site or a complex delivery plan
You may not need it. If you live close to the site, have built before and have a builder who is comfortable working from package documentation, the package alone may be enough, and we will tell you so.
How It Fits With Our Other Services
ConstructionX offers project management at three levels:
Scroll sideways to see the full table
| Service | Who it is for | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Residential Project Management | Homeowners who hire ConstructionX to manage their home project | Managing the homeowner's project |
| Builder Project Management | Builders and developers who need help managing projects or more management capacity | Supporting the builder's own projects |
| Build Ready Project Management | Owners of Build Ready package projects | Remote coordination of the package project while a local builder runs the site |
Build Ready Project Management is the version built around package projects, where the design and materials come from ConstructionX and the site is run locally. If you are not sure which level fits, describe your project and we will point you to the right one.
Why Small Details Matter
Small details can slip between people on any build: a delivery arrives before the foundation is ready, a selection is made late, a question goes unanswered for a week. A window order goes in before the openings are confirmed. Appliances are chosen after the cabinets are built around different ones. A truck arrives and cannot reach the site because nobody checked the road. None of these is a disaster on its own, but together they can cost time and money, and the owner is often the one who pays for them.
Build Ready Project Management is there to help catch those details early, while they are still easy to fix. Spending a little time on coordination before the package ships costs far less than sorting out a missed detail once the crew is on site.
How to Get Started
- Tell us about your project: the location, the design, the package level and whether you have a builder.
- We review whether Build Ready Project Management fits your project and location.
- We define the scope for your project alongside your package specification: what we coordinate and what stays with you and your builder.
- Coordination begins. It helps most when it starts early, before the package is ordered, so the order, deliveries and selections are lined up from the beginning.
In Short
Build Ready Project Management is optional, remote coordination for Build Ready package projects. We keep the information, the order, the deliveries, the selections and the schedule organized, while your local builder runs the site. It does not include site supervision, labour or permits, and it does not change your package. It suits owners who are far from the site, building for the first time, or working to a tight plan.
